A 34-year-old man motorcyclist suffered serious injuries including a broken leg and remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition after a smash in Bolton yesterday afternoon between two motorbikes.

The accident happened on St Peter’s Way (A666) near the Kearsley roundabout.

One of the bikes collided with the concrete central barrier and the rider – a 34-year-old man – suffered serious injuries including a broken leg.

The rider of the second bike remained at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

An investigation by GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is underway and officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash cam footage, to contact them on 0161 856 4741 quoting incident 1622 of 12/04/2021.
