The Nisa Local on the corner of Park Road and Glebelands Road in Sale, is supporting their local community with a generous donation of just under £700 for a mosaic that will be designed by local school children in celebration of 45 years service of their local lollipop lady.
The store donated the money to Two by Two, the Community Group that has organised the project, through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity.
The donation of £690.00 will help fund the specially commissioned mosaic to be placed at ‘Heather’s Corner’ in Sale where dedicated Lollipop lady Heather Morris MBE has been crossing local school children safely for 45 years. Local Community Group Two by Two has managed to fundraise just under £2000 towards the total £3000 needed for the project to go ahead.

Akash Patel from the store commented: “Our store has been serving this neighbourhood for over five years now, and we’re really happy to be able to give something back to the community here.” “Heather is a wonderful and respectable lady. She has supported us throughout all the years we have been here, this is just a little gesture of thank you”.

Zoe Taylor of Two by Two said “We’re really grateful that Nisa have made such a generous donation, and pleased that the shop are so keen to get behind the project in recognition of Heather’s service to the local community.”

Two by Two are applying for funding to help them reach their mosaic target, and would like to invite anyone wishing to offer support to the project to please get in touch with them through their website – www.twobytwohurrah.co.uk
