A 39-year-old woman who was discharged from hospital after being hit by a car in Fallowfield has died twelve days later
The incident happened at the the junction of Lloyd Street South and Platt Lane in Fallowfield around 5.50pm on the 29th January
The woman was collected from the scene by a loved one and the following day the victim attended hospital and was discharged the same day.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish if her death is a result of her injuries from the road traffic collision.
Initial enquiries suggested a silver Toyota Yaris was travelling in a southerly direction on Lloyd Street South in the direction of Platt Lane in Fallowfield.
The victim then enters the carriageway crossing Lloyd Street South and is struck by the car.
The car subsequently stopped and remained at the scene.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
