Police are looking for three youths on pedal cycles aged between 15-19 who robbed a 38 year old women at knifepoint in Clifton.

One pushed her to the floor and she was threatened with a knife.They then stole a quantity of jewellery and the woman’s phone before fleeing towards the wooded area off The Green.

One of the rings stolen contained the woman’s son’s ashes.The woman did not suffer any serious injuries.

One offender  is described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall, of medium build, with medium length fair hair and was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms.

Another is described as white, around 5ft 4ins tall, of very skinny build with short dark hair. He was wearing a royal blue coat branded ‘GK’.

The third offender was white and wearing a black Under Armour hoodie and a baseball cap.

The robbery happened around 5pm on Friday 31 January as she was walking along a footpath off The Green,

Constable Wendy Heath of GMP’s Salford District said: “We are determined to find those responsible for this callous attack and recover the woman’s possessions.

“Thankfully the victim wasn’t seriously injured, but the emotional impact of the robbery has been considerable.

“Were you in the area at the time of the robbery or do you recognise the descriptions of the offenders?If you can help, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
