Hatch has launched a competition to help nurture the next generation of independent retailers in Manchester.

The competition, which launches this week, is asking budding indie startups to send in their retail pitch including concept and financial projections. The Hatch team will then choose a winner who will receive a month’s free rent as well as business advice from Bruntwood’s Andrea George (Director of Town Centres & Consumer Brands) and retail space experts Barker Proudlove.

From fashion and jewellery to homeware or vinyl  – makers, bakers and creators of all kinds are welcome.

Businesses have a month to send in their pitch which will then be judged by the panel and a winner crowned and ready to go in time for the summer months.  Details of the competition and how to enter are here and are detailed on Hatch’s social channels:

We are looking for innovative new ideas that can really enhance what we have here at Hatch. We’re keen to hear from as many talented businesses as possible as we want to create a great independent retail community here, supporting local businesses across the city”
