Despite the latest lockdown announcement and the restrictions around non essential travel, outdoor exercise is still encouraged and can be unlimited, therefore as 50 Windows of Creativity is an outdoor trail, Wild In Art are delighted to say that it can still be enjoyed within Government guidelines by the thousands of people living in or near to Manchester city centre.
Wild In Art hope city centre residents will utilise this opportunity to combine a stroll around the city with the art trail and be inspired by the wonderful displays. After all, creativity and being creative through the medium of art not only gives people a voice, it’s also beneficial to health and wellbeing, something more important than ever in these unprecedented times.
The team understand this news may be disappointing to those who were planning to visit the art trail from outside of Manchester and are currently developing plans to increase the trail’s digital presence online via its social media channels, to enable those who aren’t able to see the displays in person to enjoy the artwork during lockdown.
In addition, from Monday 9th November, Wild In Art are also inviting the public to get creative at home and design their own window of creativity by downloading the window template on the Wild in Art World website and submitting their own artwork to be a part of a virtual global gallery. Once the team have submissions, they will pick out artists as guest curators who will share their favourites.
Everyone can take part, including children, families, artists and designers, so the team are really keen to get this message out to as many people as possible and encourage them to join in with this colourful celebration of joy, fun and creativity.
For further updates and news on the trail, the 50 Windows of Creativity app is available to download now from the App Store or on Google Play.
