After online festive celebrations and activities last year, live theatre is back at HOME this Christmas, along with an array of cult films in the Merry 80s Christmas cinema season.
In the theatre, audiences will get to see the return of HOME favourites, such as Bourgeois & Maurice, Mr Wilson’s Second Liners and Sh!t Theatre are back with their Sing-a-long-a-Muppet-Christmas Carol. Family audiences can enjoy the fabulous Duckie live – a gorgeous reimagining of the classic tale of The Ugly Duckling.

Overview: ‘Sh!t Theatre’s Sing-a-long-a-Muppet Christmas Carol’ is back! The cult Christmas show returns for a 2021 mini tour because we just all really need it right now. Featuring amazing guest performers, a huge amount of laughter, and a chance to support Micheal Caine as he does some ‘acting’! The show has previously received amazing reviews from the likes of The Guardian who described it as “Genius” and WhatsOnStage who said it was “side-achingly funny” so this one is definitely not to be missed.

MR WILSON’S SECOND LINERS PRESENTS LEFTISM
When: Wed 15 Dec 8pm
Overview: Leftfield’s iconic debut album – Leftism – gets a signature dose of live brass treatment by Manchester’s favourite raving street band, Mr Wilsons Second Liners. The band are pulling out all the bells, whistles and beats to interpret this electronic classic. Their embellished 12-piece line-up will navigate audiences on a progressive house trip back to 1995. Celebrating Leftfeld’s original vision; Mr Wilsons hope to channel the album’s distinct and relevant voice and its great collaborative spirit.
This premiere performance will also feature guest vocalist Melanie Williams (Hacienda Classical, Sub Sub) and scratch DJ Dr.Weevil; the audience will also experience live VJ visuals at cinematic scale.

DUCKIE

Overview: Family-friendly glamour and glitz takes centre stage in a fabulous children’s show originally created by cabaret superstar Le Gateau Chocolat. Duckie is a reimagining of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling with a message of tolerance and self-acceptance at its core.
Set in an animal circus, we join Duckie on an adventure of self-discovery, asking questions of the ‘happy ever after’ in a celebration of difference.
