Two women aged in their 60s and 70s are in hospital with serious injuries one in a critical condition after a hit and run in Chadderton last night.
The two were in a Suzuki Swift that was hit by an Audi A4 at the junction of Broadway and Eaves Lane.The Audi failed to stop
Sergeant Andrew Page of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This was a serious collision which has left two elderly women in a serious condition in hospital.
“A full investigation is currently underway to establish the full circumstances of this collision and locate the driver of the Audi. We’re appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the collision or the two vehicles in the area at the time to get in touch with police.
“I would urge anyone in the area at the time to check their dash-cam or CCTV footage as you may be holding footage that could greatly assist our enquiries.”
