Two people have been arrested after shots were fired at a property in Oldham on Sunday afternoon

Police conducted warrants at addresses on Chapel Road and Vicarage Street in relation to the incident on School House Road

Two men – one in his 40s and another in his 20s – were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences. Both remain in custody for questioning.

Detective Inspector Rachel Smith from our Major Incident Team said: “This was a reckless attack in the early hours of the Sunday morning, and we have been working hard to establish the full facts in the moments before we were called.

“Our investigation has led us to addresses on Chapel Road and Vicarage Street in Oldham, where we have arrested two people of interest.

“We believe that this is a targeted attack, we understand and share the local concern that this incident may cause to those living near to the address on School House Road, the whole community in Oldham and the rest of Greater Manchester.
