Both men aged 23 and 21 have been  arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property and remain in custody for further questioning after police swooped on Piccadilly station this afternoon

The two men were searched and found in possession of £50K in cash and a Rolex watch.

Detective Inspector James Coles, Head of GMP’s Money Laundering Team said: “We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the ongoing proactive operation called Operation Falcon. This operation is GMP’s response to tackling cash-based money laundering and organised crime in Greater Manchester.

“These arrests are two of the many successes of Operation Falcon and the teams who support it. Of course, our work does not stop here and we will continue to tackle organised crime and we will remove these individuals from our communities.
