A 43-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of the production of class A drugs and remain in custody for questioning after police found a suspected methamphetamine production in Salford yesterday.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Bolton Road in Pendlebury where they discovered both equipment and chemicals believed to be used in the production of methamphetamine or ‘Crystal Meth.’

Inspector Daniel Welch of GMP’s Salford district said: “Specialist officers continue to search the property and recover items used in the suspected production of methamphetamine at the scene.

“Although there is a higher police presence in the area I would like to stress there is no risk to members of the public. Our officers are continuing their investigations and ensuring the safety of the community.”
