Award-winning distiller, Manchester Gin, has launched a new limited-edition label for its incredible homage to the city, FAC51 The Haçienda.

Inspired by the interior designers of the iconic music venue, this bottle is the perfect Christmas gift for both gin and music-lovers alike.

Created in collaboration with fellow Mancunian and musical icon, Peter Hook, this unique expression takes locally foraged dandelion and burdock and blends it with the fresh zest of lemon and lime peel as a nod to the acid house movement which Manchester’s music scene kickstarted.

This smooth, yet balanced, tipple is underpinned with the sweet taste of sherbet and the warming flavours of cassia to create a flavour as lively as the Haçienda itself.

The brand-new packaging, designed by Lois Hinx and Pete Gaskell, transports drinkers back to the nightclub’s famous dancefloor as the transparent label depicts the Haçienda’s interiors, whilst creating a 3-D illusion.

Manchester Gin’s iconic hexagon-embossed, recycled glass bottle is adorned with the neon lights and industrial pillars of the Factory Records venue for a truly nostalgic feel. The funky illustration is surrounded by the distinguishable yellow and black warning stripes, making this the perfect collector’s item.

To celebrate both the history of the Haçienda and the launch of the limited-edition label in time for the festive season, Manchester Gin and Peter Hook are giving Mancunians the chance to win sought-after tickets for Haçienda Classical 2021, along with some exclusive merchandise. To enter simply head to Manchester Gin’s Facebook or Instagram page, follow the account, like the page and tag a friend. “This collaboration is a fantastic celebration of Mancunian culture which we’re so proud of. Lois and Pete have created a design which takes you back to the 80s and into the nightclub with one look and we couldn’t be more pleased with the end result. The beautiful label is so eye-catching and will look just as good on any budding home-bartender’s shelf as it tastes.

After a tough year, we’re so happy to release this limited-edition batch in time for Christmas so that Mancunians, gin-lovers and music-fans across the country can look back on their fun memories of our much-loved city over the festive period. We can’t wait to see who wins the Hacienda Classical tickets and merchandise and hopes it gives them a little something to look forward to in 2021.”
