A new study by adventure holiday provider The Bucket List Company has looked into the best hiking trails from around the UK.

The study looked at various data sources, including Instagram hashtags volume & social reactions, while also taking into account factors such as trail length, days to complete and the difficulty of these trails to determine the top tracks for hiking.

The study revealed that the Mam Tor trek in The Peak District, is the best hiking trail in the UK!! The trail is one of the most popular treks within the National Park. This picturesque trail gives a beautiful view of the villages Edale and Hope Valley.

Noted as a fairly easy trail to complete, the 10.71km trek can be completed in 1 day. The course has over 106,927 Instagram hashtags most likely due to people documenting the stunning views.

Coming in a close 2nd is the Cannock Chase trail based in Staffordshire. The trail is based within a forest and is an excellent place to visit for its scenery, wildlife and rich history. Cannock Chase is also extremely popular for mountain biking, with dedicated routes to those interested.

The complete length of the trail is 19.11km, which can be completed within 1 day. A massive 144,740 Instagram hashtags have also been documented for this trail.

Coming 3rd is the Clifton Suspension Bridge Trail in Bristol. The beautiful walk offers amazing views of the city of Bristol and the suburbs of Clifton, the trail goes through both public highways and National Trust woodlands making it a very diverse walk.

The 10.82km trail which can be easily completed within 1 day has 87,960 linked Instagram hashtags, undoubtedly due to the iconic pictures people take when they see the bridge.
