The independent Thai Street food restaurant, Zaap Thai, has announced that it will be bringing its signature blend of authentic Thai street food and immersive dining to Manchester with a brand-new restaurant heading to Brazennose St in the city centre, located in Lincoln Square.
The Manchester restaurant is set to be one of Zaap’s biggest venues to date, with up to 160 covers at the new venue overlooking Lincoln Square. Its arrival will create up to 40 hospitality jobs in the city centre.
Zaap Manchester, the first restaurant in the Northwest for the brand, is due to open in June and will invite guests to experience the bustling streets of Bangkok and the authentic flavours of Thailand. Complete with an open kitchen, custom-made tuk tuk seating booths and bespoke street-style graffiti, the restaurant is designed to immerse guests in traditional Thai food culture.
Zaap’s affordable, expansive and exciting menu includes over 80 flavour-packed dishes from Pad Thai and authentic noodle soups to an array of vegetarian and vegan dishes offering a true taste of Thailand.
Menu highlights include their signature Chicken Satay, crispy Pork Belly, spicy Som Tum salad, classic stir-fried dishes such as Pad Ga Prao and a huge variety of vegetarian and vegan options including Thai noodle dishes with plant-based chicken or prawns. For sweet-tooths, enjoy a selection of Thai delights such as Mango Sticky Rice, and Pandan Custard Pancakes.
There’s also a wide array of refreshingly vibrant drinks to complement the extensive menu, with Thai-inspired cocktails and mocktails such as ‘Rak Jang’ made with Thai Spirit, Thai lagers such as Singha, fresh smoothies and Zaap’s signature bubble tea selection.
Ban Kaewkraikhot, Founder and Executive Chef at Zaap said about the new restaurant:
“We’re thrilled to be bringing Zaap Thai to Manchester. This is a city with a rich and diverse hospitality scene, and we’re delighted to be joining that fantastic community. Our mission is to share our authentic flavours of native Thailand with the city – we want to transport guests to sunny South East Asia by providing an amazing and affordable menu where you can try something new each time. Our restaurant is inspired by the places we love back home and everyone is welcome. We can’t wait to bring the Zaap experience to Manchester!”
Zaap Manchester is due to open its doors in June 2025.
