One of the UK’s fastest growing and largest independent software testing companies, Edge Testing Solutions, part of Eurofins Digital Testing, has announced the appointment of Kelly White to spearhead its growth across Cheshire, Manchester and Lancashire.

Kelly has over eight years of test lead experience and, as part of the software testing company’s plans to build a team for clients in the area, her role as Service Delivery Manager will see her managing client relationships with the existing client base, which incorporates companies in Warrington, Lancashire, Liverpool and Manchester. She will also oversee securing contracts with new clients and managing service delivery.

Kelly said: “Our client expectations on individual skill sets are demanding more technical and agile environment experience, which Edge offers, thanks to our Digital Test Hubs. We will be launching a Manchester-based Digital Test Hub, which will provide our clients with an easily accessed remote testing service for their in-house applications and back office systems. As part of the Digital Test Hub launch, we will be recruiting team members from across the region. We chose Manchester as the Digital Test Hub base as it has a strong tech focus and reputation, so is a highly-valued area, andthrough it we will be bringing fresh blood to the Manchester software testing sector.”

The company is exploring co-operation with local universities to replicate success with Scottish universities such as the University of Strathclyde, the University of the West of Scotland in Paisley, Stirling University and New College Lanarkshire.

This workforce investment plan, which Kelly is heading up, will see Edge Testing recruiting for senior test consultants, test leads, test managers and test analysts, who will also extend parent company Eurofins’ presence in the region.

Rob Maxfield, New Business Director at Edge, explains: “Together with Eurofins, we can provide clients with a far more comprehensive offering, incorporating both Eurofins’ and Edge’s testing services, to provide them with a regional resource to ensure that high quality software is developed to underpin their clients’ growth.”

Edge originally launched the Digital Test Hub (DTH) concept, which was the first of its kind in the UK, in Scotland in 2013, with the second Digital Test Hub opened last year in the Midlands. Edge Testing’s road map includes a new DTH based in the North to offer clients UK-wide an easily accessed remote testing service for their in-house applications and back office systems.

Kelly’s appointment is just one part of Edge’s major expansion plans across the North, as the software testing company has also appointed Julian Lawless as Service Delivery Manager for Yorkshire.
