Austria’s Chancellor have told President that sanctions will remain as long as Ukrainians are dying.

Karl Nehammer told Vladimir Putin that sanctions would increase.

He added that he “saw the immeasurable suffering caused by the Russian war.”

Tens of thousands of people have killed in Mariupol according President Volodymyr Zelensky

In an address to the South Korean parliament, he said that the worst situation with hostilities is in “destroyed” Mariupol, a seaport in southern Ukraine that has been sieged by Russians since March 1.

He also told the Parliament that Russia had fired nearly 2,000 missiles at Ukrainian Citied and added that the Russian-fired artillery shells are impossible to count.

Russia is probably looking to “double or perhaps treble” the amount of troops they have in the Donbas area in the next phase of its war in Ukraine, a western official has said.

However the official said it will take “some considerable time” for Russia to reach that force level

Meanwhile a Russian oil embargo could be part of a sixth round of EU sanctions.

The Foreign Ministers of Ireland, Lithuania and the Netherlands said today that the EU is drafting proposals for the bloc’s oil embargo on Russia, although there is yet no agreement regarding the measure.

“The EU is spending hundreds of millions of euros on importing oil from Russia, which is certainly contributing to financing this war. We need to cut off that financing. The sooner, the better,” said Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney, as quoted by Reuters.
