It’s that time of the year again, as the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park begin this Wednesday.

The show is laid out in four “zones”, each with its own distinctive theme and flavour.

The “GROW” zone is a plant-lovers paradise with so much to see and do. Surround yourself with beauty in the magnificent floral marquee and lively Plant Village; gain top tips from the experts on the RHS Potting Benches and in the Talks Theatre, and see if you agree with the judges on the show’s famous flowerbed competition and amazing show gardens.

The ESCAPE” zone where there are lively carnival parades or the chance to ride the flowery Ferris wheel, browse the local creations in the Arts and Crafts Pavilion, vote for your favourite carnival inspired container created by local schools and shop the delights in the Country Living Magazine pavilion.

The “INSPIRE” zone, asks you to fire your imaginationfrom the RHS Young Designer of the Year competition with its challenging “Avant-Gardening” theme to a spectacular set of show gardens based on “The Elements”, or for a real insight into the world of floristry, try the Floral Design Studio.

“FEAST” celebrates every aspect of growing your own. There is a chance to explore the Great British Allotments and the RHS Summer Fruit and Veg Pavilion, or get your hands dirty with have-a-go features.

This year there is Around the World in a Manchester Garden exhibited by Britain from Above, in partnership with the RHS Campaign for School Gardening

Designed by a class of Year 4 students from Crowcroft Park Primary School in Manchester, with support from Angie Turner Designs. Reflecting the past and present of the students’ everyday surroundings, the feature references Manchester’s heritage, as well as aspects of the students’ own multicultural heritage, spanning the globe.

Inspired by aerial photographs from Britain from Above’s Aerofilms collection, the students will present a retrospective exploration of the methods and approach to growing your own vegetables; from Mancunian allotments in the 1930s and 1940s to their families’ memories of gardening in their home countries.
