The shortlist has now been announced for the 17th Manchester Hoteliers’ Association Annual Ball and Awards.
More than 500 people from the region’s hospitality industry are expected to gather at the
event at The Vermillion in Manchester on 1st April.
Nine prestigious awards will be given out on the night. Among those shortlisted are Katie Forrest, Dakota Hotel Manchester, Dennis Pisarenco, Hotel Brooklyn, Sev Zielinski, City Suites Manchester who will contest the Rising Star Award.
Nominated in the Outstanding Contribution category are Gary Neville, GG Hospitality, Matt
Townley, Dakota Hotel, Paul Sutton, The Midland Hotel and Mark Wakefield, Best Western
Cresta Court Hotel.
Adrian Ellis, Chair of The Manchester Hoteliers Association said, “We are delighted to have
revealed this year’s shortlist after a very high calibre of entries were submitted. We are
aiming to raise as much money as possible for fantastic causes including Hospitality Action,
Mustard Tree, Wood Street Mission and MIND Manchester. I’d like to wish all nominees the very best of luck on the night of our 17 th Annual Ball.”

The Manchester Hoteliers’ Association (MHA) is a non-profit organisation of the key hotels
within the city centre and the Greater Manchester area. It is chaired and managed by the
hotel General Managers and the MHA is dedicated to promoting and developing the
hospitality and tourism industry in Manchester.
