A hidden gem, tucked away in Shaw town centre, is shining bright after a funding boost
The exterior of Shaw Playhouse 2 Theatre – home of the Crompton Stage Society – has been dramatically transformed into a colourful and eye-catching building.
The theatre is one of several businesses to already benefit from an £100,000 investment pot – created to support independent traders and organisations in Shaw.
Crompton Stage Society enquired about a grant towards repainting the frontage and installing a new signage scheme to improve the appearance of the premises and make it more visible to visitors.
Works also included replacing the emergency access doors and replacing coping stones on the roof.
The grants are available to both new and existing independent businesses and can be used to improve the exterior of the premises or for an internal fit out where the business can demonstrate business growth and/or job creation.
