The iconic Flying Scotsman makes its hotly anticipated return to the East Lancashire Railway this weekend.

Rail enthusiasts can get up close and personal to the legendary locomotive that was the first to exceed 100 mph and for the longest time represented the very best of British industry.

So ride behind the world’s most famous steam engine, ‘Flying Scotsman’, as she takes to the tracks for a series of passenger services through the picturesque Irwell Valley.
