A new brunch menu inspired by good ol’ Northern favourites has arrived in Manchester bringing together familiar flavours, local produce and refined comfort food with a distinctly Northern influence and our roving reporter Mark Anderson went to try it out .
The new weekend offering to Manchester and the wider North West is celebrating regional favourite of Northern home comforts with a contemporary twist.

The menu showcases standout dishes like Manchester Toast and an iconic Spicy Bloody Mary, alongside flavour-packed plates that highlight ingredients such as Cumberland sausage, Garstang blue cheese, Eden Valley bacon, Manchester ale and a real Mancunian favorite Vimto.
Expect crumpets in place of bread rolls, chimichurri paired with Halloumi and peppercorn sauce polished rather than heavy. It’s brunch that feels familiar, but excitingly new.
Whilst the same menu will be available both days, expect the vibes to be switched up.
Saturday has been named ‘The Saturday Social’ with an upbeat soundtrack perfect for those social gatherings and drinks with the girls. Sunday come with the tagline ‘The Sunday Toast’ where the atmosphere is a more relaxed, laid-back feel complete with Sunday papers and board-games so you can take your time and take it easy.

General Manager, Kelly added, “we wanted to create a brunch menu that feels like a real nod to Manchester and the North, warm, welcoming & flavoursome but with a modern edge.”
The New Brunch Menu Offers:
Sweet Potato Hash
Steak & Eggs.
Cumberland Sausages & Crumpets.
Toasted Bagel.
Eggy Bread.
Buttermilk pancakes.
Manchester toast
In order to understand what the brunch was offering, we opted to try the selection of:
Steak & Eggs, Cumberland Sausages & Crumpets, followed by Manchester Toast.
Steak & Eggs: came excellently cooked with a very slight pink to the meat, and the option of how the eggs came was our own choice. The plate also contained a peppercorn sauce and small onion rings.
On review the meat was lovely and moist, the eggs done to perfection runny, but not too runny.
Accompanied by small onion rings that weren’t to my liking as they were soft on the outside and not crispy, the pepper corn sauce was very smooth and creamy but slightly too peppery that marginally overpowered the meat.
Cumberland Sausages & Crumpets: Cumberland sausage is a favorite of mine so I had to try this. I wasn’t disappointed, very tasty & flavoursome, presented on a warm crumpet with Lancashire blue cheese, a sweet & spicy Cumberland sauce finishes what was a lovely meal.
On review the only thing, the crumpets weren’t homemade, which would have been a bonus to the chefs skills, and I felt they should have been buttered as they felt slightly dry.

Manchester Toast: Egg Brioche with banana custard, berry caulis and a topping of coconut crumb.
On Review: I didn’t expect this on the menu, one for the sweet tooth and very nice it was. It’s presented as a tribute to the “Manchester Tart” but a dessert with a twist, all the sweetness and flavours contributed to a nice way to finish the main courses. Excellent choice.
The new brunch menu is available every Saturday and Sunday from 12–5pm.
