Reform Radio’s partnership with Jägermeister, Jäger X Reform, launches a grant programme to support local artists.
As part of Jäger X Reform’s ongoing commitment to support the music community at this time, they have today announced a series of grants for artists to record gigs as well as produce exciting new radio programmes remotely.
They are now calling out for local artists to get involved, with submissions being taken for unique show ideas, panel discussions, small scale solo live gigs and other creative ideas. A number of £75 grants will be given to the best ideas, as well as a package of support from the Reform Radio broadcast team to deliver the programme.
During this difficult time, Reform Radio is operating under an enhanced set of values which includes supporting the industry and freelancers with paid opportunities where possible.
The Jäger X Reform, #JagerReform, partnership is about supporting new music, so all ideas need to fit within this theme, beyond this there is creative freedom over all content.
To enter, please send no more than 250 words, or a max two min video or voice note to music@reformradio.co.uk and reference how this will be done safely considering current restrictions and also what equipment will be used to ensure the quality is high.

It’s a hard time for everyone right now so more than ever we have to support each other in any way that we can. By launching this grant scheme, we can continue to commission artists for paid work which they are in need of and also give them creative rein to make some amazing content for our listeners and keep everybody entertained.”
Reform Radio has more activity planned to keep audiences entertained whilst in lockdown, including State of Bass Book webinar launch next month. The book is a revised reissue of the acclaimed first-ever book-length investigation into the origins of jungle and drum & bass. Back in print for the first time since 1998, State of Bass: The Origins of Jungle and Drum & Bass features previously unpublished interviews with Roni Size, Goldie, LTJ Bukem, Fabio, Shy FX and other key players from the early years of the scene.
They will also have an industry panel talk webinar planned, which will discuss advice for artists, personal experiences and much more, live gig streams on Facebook as well as weekly live radio shows hosted by musical veteran and pioneering 1Xtra presenter Jenna G.
