Mark your calendar and get ready for an incredible journey back in time as Untold Manchester, in partnership with Live History Shows presents Prison Break at New Bailey on Saturday, 31st August from 11am to 4pm.
Dive into the past and experience New Bailey, once the largest prison in England, through a theatrical and immersive history challenge. Journey back to the height of the Industrial Revolution when the nation’s largest prison at New Bailey, cast a shadow across the land. Have you come to visit a friend? Maybe an enemy? Who will you encounter on your visit? Perhaps a guard chasing an escaped prisoner or an escapee looking to “acquire” some money to get far away will cross your path. You may meet a mother on her way to the prison to see her son or a new inmate doing everything they can to avoid going to the famous jail.
In this unique interactive experience, guests will have one hour to interact with historical characters and hear stories of New Bailey’s past while completing missions, quests, puzzles, and clues to assist the characters. The clock is ticking, and lives are at stake! Will you make it in time?
