Popeyes® UK, the New Orleans fried chicken restaurant, officially opened the doors to its brand-new restaurant at Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre this morning
The new Manchester city centre restaurant opened at 11am, bringing the vibrant spirit of New Orleans with a ribbon cutting ceremony, exclusive merch giveaways and a live performance from Mardi Gras style band, The Brass Funkeys.
The launch marks the third Popeyes® restaurant in the city, following the success of its existing Piccadilly and Bury New Road locations. Fans started queuing up from 7am outside the Arndale this morning to get a taste of the world famous Popeyes® Chicken Sandwich from the new restaurant.
Jimmy, a Manchester local and the first in the queue, said: “We tried Popeyes on a trip to the US and loved it. Today we’re here to try the Chicken Sandwich again and I’m also really excited to rep my Popeyes t-shirt.”
Ainsley, who queued from 7am outside the Arndale Centre, added: “My mum actually told me about the opening, so I wanted to come down to see what it was all about. I can’t wait to try Popeyes for the first time, especially their Bold BBQ sauce.”
With both dine-in and takeaway options available, fried chicken fans visiting Manchester Arndale can now experience Popeyes® fan-favourites like the iconic Chicken Sandwich, Hot Wings, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps at the new restaurant.
All of Popeyes® chicken is halal and marinated for 12 hours in its signature blend of bold Louisiana seasoning, then hand-breaded and battered to deliver that world-famous ‘shatter-crunch’.
