After finding a knife following stopping a suspicious car on Hall Street in Bury yesterday evening police arrested a 26 year old woman on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
Following the arrest a significant amount of drugs, suspected to be MDMA and cannabis resin, and about £10k in cash. were also recovered from a nearby address.
A number of mobile phones have also been recovered and will be forensically examined.
Superintendent Phil Spurgeon, of our Bury district, said: “This yet another example of positive, proactive action taken by our officers.
“If you are out there, intent on committing a criminal offence – whether that is dealing drugs, carrying a weapon or breaking into houses or cars – we are out and about 24 hours a day and you will be caught.”
