Police investigating the death of a man in a collision in Ardwick back in December have released an image of a taxi they would like to trace as part of their enquiries.

Shortly after midnight on Sunday 7 December  a car was travelling along Ardwick Green South when it collided with a pedestrian who is believed to have been crossing the road.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the pedestrian, a 45-year-old man, died from his injuries. The driver remained at the scene and there have been no arrests.

As part of their enquiries into the collision, officers have released an image of a black cab they would like to locate.

The driver is being treated as a witness and not a suspect – it is believed they may have nearly collided with the pedestrian before the fatal collision.

If you believe that you were the driver, or were in the area at the time of the incident, we ask that you please get in touch with them
