Police have arrested and charged two men in connection with a stabbing incident in Bolton Town Centre at the weekend

Lewis Barton aged 20 of Churchill Drive, Bolton, has been charged with wounding with intent, two counts of assault and possession of a bladed article.

Levi Wharmby,21, Croft Avenue, Bolton, has been charged with wounding with intent and two counts of assault.

The incident at Churchgate in the early hours of Sunday morning saw an 18-year-old man then taken to hospital with serious injuries.

They have both been bailed to appear at Bolton Crown Court on Monday 20 February
