Plans have been submitted to Salford Council for a four tower multiplex.

The project, known as ‘City View’ is estimated to cost upward of £150m and its four towers will be twenty six storeys high, sixteen ten and eight respectively.

The plans reveal that there will be 525 units on the premises, as well as social space.

The scheme will include 488 apartments and 37 town houses as well as car parking and bike spaces, a private sky garden above ground level with seating areas and a Residential lounge, gym, coffee shop, and concierge on ground level.

Plans for the City View complex position it, on Regent Road, in an ideal location.

Architect’s  Fletcher Rae’s Joint Managing Director, Andrew Rae, explains how the residential community will act as a gateway into the city:

“The form of the building responds directly to the vision of the site to create a viable and sustainable regeneration development in a strategic location on Regent Road. The development will link to existing community infrastructure and adjacent developments. This Proposal is intended to repair the severed link that exists between these communities and developments and create a much needed activity node for movement between these key places in the city.” adding that

The prominent corner at the junction between Regent Road and Oldfield Road responds to similar larger scale developments at the River Irwell and Manchester City Centre to the east and those at Chapel Street & Ordsall Waterfront to the North and South. Lower scale elements of the proposal mediate between the low-rise community of Ordsall on the opposite side of Regent Road and the adjacent developments along Oldfield Road.”
