Plans for 300 homes to be built at Birley Fields have gone out to public consultation

The developer Glenbrook are inviting local residents, community groups and businesses to share their views on the proposals for the 2.75-acre site off Greenheys Lane West and Old Birley Street in Hulme.

The plans would see a residential scheme of 100% affordable homes, alongside new public realm, improved walking and cycling routes and spaces designed to support everyday community life.

The first phase of consultation on the proposals will run from 6 July to 28 July 2026. We would like to invite you to these drop-in sessions where you can meet the project team, ask questions and share your thoughts directly with us.

The sessions will be held at: Hulme Community Garden Centre, 28 Old Birley St, M15 5RG

Thursday 9 July, 4-7pm

Wednesday 15 July, 2-5pm
