Plans for Droylsden Marina have been revealed with 192 new apartments alongside a commercial building on a prominent waterside site in Droylsden.
The scheme will be undertaken in strategic partnership between True North Partnerships, CERT Property, and Legal & General Affordable Homes, with the aim of creating a vibrant, mixed-use community in the heart of Tameside.
The scheme which gone out to consultation will comprise 192 apartments with a mix of one- and two-bedroom units as well as Commercial building supporting local enterprise and community activity
There will be a pocket park and community space for residents and visitors as well as Landscaped areas and new walking routes connecting Manchester Road to the Marina
The scheme promises Improved visual and physical links between Manchester Road and the Marina, helping to better connect the waterfront with the town centre
The proposals also support wider plans for improved public spaces, including a potential linear park linking the Marina to other parts of Droylsden.
