One person has died and another has been seriously injured in an accident that has closed both carriageways on Cadishead Way in Irlam this morning
A 48 year old man who was the driver of the car died at the scene while the passenger in the car, a 50-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Investigators are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and assist their investigation.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any CCTV footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or Ring doorbell footage from the area in the moments leading up to the incident.
