Nicola Bulley’s death was an accident, the coroner has ruled following a two day inquest

The mother of two drowned after falling into the River Wyre near to St Michael’s in Lancashire in January

Her death said the coroner was accidental and she did not have “any desire” to take her own life

In a statement her family said

‘We encourage people to look at the facts and ignore any amateur views and opinions’.

Detective Chief Superintendent Pauline Stables, of Lancashire police, said:

“I hope that the coroner’s clear and definitive findings will put an end ill-informed speculation and conspiracy theories which have been so damaging Nikki’s family, the community of St Michael’s.

“I would like to finish by bringing this back to Nikki. She was clearly a much-loved mum, partner, daughter, sister and friend. and I would once again express my deepest sympathy to all her loved ones…”
