After a relentless six months of hard work, NHS workers are being offered a well-deserved break, free of charge, this summer. Leading aparthotel provider Supercity Aparthotels has announced that it will be gifting 120 nights’ accommodation to NHS workers, in a bid to give back to the community of health carers who have worked tirelessly in the fight against Coronavirus.

From August through to October, NHS staff can apply for a complimentary two-night getaway at a Supercity aparthotel of their choice for a well-earned break with loved ones. All its aparthotels are situated in some of the UK’s most vibrant cities, so guests can feel at ease as they meander Brighton Beach or explore the sites of London or Manchester’s Northern Quarter, before returning to the comforts of this home away from home – complete with their own private kitchen and sitting room. Having offered non-profit stays for all key workers since the outbreak of Coronavirus, this latest pledge is the next step in Supercity’s commitment to give back to the NHS.

Brits are still feeling wary about travelling abroad, with 73% choosing to holiday within the UK, even after Coronavirus travel restrictions have been lifted[1]. Aparthotels offer the perfect solution for all travellers who still want to get away, with assurance that where they stay is safe. With every Supercity aparthotel offering self-contained suites with fully fitted kitchens, guests have the choice of dining in or exploring the increasing number of bars and restaurants opening up in the neighbourhoods. The dedicated in-house teams have adapted their ways of working to ensure all prevailing guidance are being met, keeping both customers and staff as safe as possible – allowing guests to enjoy their stay with confidence.

Alexis Burton, CEO of Supercity said: “Supporting charities and giving back to local communities is an integral part of our ethos at Supercity, and over the years we’ve supported many communities through different initiatives. Thanking the NHS after everything they have done for us was a no-brainer for our business. Our UK health carers have worked tirelessly throughout this pandemic, so when the time comes for them to take a well-deserved mini break, we want to be there to help ensure that they feel safe in doing so.”

The first 120 NHS workers to apply will receive a complimentary two-night stay, with 50% deductions offered to all NHS workers thereafter.
