NBA stars Kevin Huerter (Chicago Bulls), Ivica Zubac (LA Clippers) and NBA champion Tyson Chandler met with Manchester United players Bruno Fernandes , Joshua Zirkzee , and Leny Yoro at Old Trafford, where they swapped shirts and basketballs, as featured on Manchester United’s Instagram.
The NBA players arrived in Manchester last week for a landmark event, as the NBA and FIBA’s Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Europe programme was staged in the city for the first time. The initiative came in advance of Manchester’s first-ever global NBA game, scheduled for 2027.
60 of the top high-school-age boys and girls from 28 countries took part in training, competition, and development sessions led by NBA legends and coaches at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
