Police are now pursuing a murder investigation after a motorcyclist was knocked off his bike in Little Hulton last weekend.
The driver and occupants of the blue Fiat Sedici made off from the scene on foot.
20-year-old Luke Flemming was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries but sadly died today
A 23-year-old man, who was also on the motorbike, was located later by officers and treated for minor injuries.
20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Chief Inspector Stuart Wilkinson from GMP’s Major Incident Team said: “My thoughts are with Luke’s family at this devastating time, I would like to reassure them that we are doing all that we can to find them the answers they deserve.
“Our investigation has now become a murder enquiry and we are currently continuing to trawl CCTV to piece together the moments leading up to the collision.
“We would like to hear from anyone who has any information which could help us with our enquiries.”
