From October 1, 2020, NJORD and Brockstedt-Kaalund will join forces under the NJORD brand, thus, the number of the team will be more than 260 people in Denmark and the Baltic States. The merger will significantly strengthen capacity and provide the opportunity to benefit from expert knowledge, including at the international level. Both bureaus are renowned for placing great emphasis on employees’ satisfaction.

“We will continue to focus on building great teams to tackle professional challenges and provide flexibility in our day-to-day work”, – Lars Lokdam, Managing Partner at NJORD Law Firm informed.

The importance of size.

“Size is considered an important factor in our industry. Competence improves, large-scale operations reduce losses, and being in sight attracts the most skilled professionals. Together we can work better and more efficiently”, – Lars Lokdam, Managing Partner at NJORD Law Firm informed.

Brockstedt-Kaalund announced their readiness to expand their operations through a merger earlier this year. “We have been waiting to become the best player in central Jutland for a long time. It is important for us to be on the move and seize the opportunities that can put our business first in Danish law firms. The merger with NJORD meets our needs and the professional correspondence between practices is close to ideal”, – Henrik Lyhne, Managing Partner at Brockstedt-Kaalund Law Firm informed.

Wonderful match.

Once merged, the bureau aims to maintain and expand the primary areas of dedicated business consulting and some areas in the private consulting sector.

“The merger will significantly strengthen our position. In many areas, NJORD and Brockstedt-Kaalund form an excellent match of competencies that will benefit both our business and our customers”, – Lars Lokdam, Managing Partner at NJORD Law Firm informed. Brockstedt-Kaalund among other things has a strong insolvency team. After the association with highly specialized NJORD practitioners, the bureau will be able to solve any problems related to insolvency.

The merger also allows for greater integration of the latest technologies – this applies both to the reduction of internal operations and the development of legal technical proposals for companies.

National and international ambitions.

“NJORD wants to continue to grow in Denmark with those who believe in strong professional standards and a strong international profile. With the largest German-speaking branch in Denmark and lawyers from all Nordic countries working from offices in Copenhagen, the international aspect will remain an advantage”, – Lars Lokdam, Managing Partner at NJORD Law Firm said.
