A Manchester Start up fighting to save the High Street will be running an event on Market Street in the City Centre this Sunday giving people the chance to swap their Amazon receipt to spend the money on independent Manchester businesses instead
The start up,Localito,is the venture of Lee Berrow Manchester’s digital answer to saving the high street now home to over 390 independent businesses
Lee told us that the the venture comes out of the frustration that’s independent business owners and regular shoppers, the pressure on local shops, the difficulty competing with big platforms, and the sense that the high street is slowly disappearing.
Lee knows exactly what local businesses are up against after having to close his own venture being unable to compete with the online market
It will be the second campaign that Localito will be running and Lee intends more town centre takeovers and business showcases across Greater Manchester
