The UK faces a second national lockdown from Thursday the 5th of November, and Greater Manchester is calling for a concerted effort to help those worst affected.

That’s why the Bury-based beer-delivery brand, Beerhunter, is backing the city region’s hospitality industry.

For each sale of its aptly-named Manchester breweries mixed beer case, Beerhunter will be donating £5 to the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity. This is in response to Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, who called for the community to come together to assist people and businesses through a “really challenging winter.”

The volunteer-run charity was set-up to provide aid for the most vulnerable people in the area to tackle a wide range of social issues.

Since its launch in April last year, it has raised over £2 million for those in need. Beerhunter is hoping to increase this sum considerably by helping those who are struggling during this difficult period.

“As a business owner, it is imperative to not only support other local companies but the wonderful people of Greater Manchester. Current lockdown restrictions have had a massive impact on everyone and we wanted to do something to help. Our Manchester brewery case will support other small businesses and with every purchase, £5 will go to this fantastic charity to help support the wider community.”
