Manchester Pride has announced it will double the number of low-income tickets available for this year’s Manchester Pride, thanks to the support of headline partner Autotrader.
The initiative offers 50% off Mardi Gras and Gay Village Party tickets to people on a limited income who otherwise could not afford to attend, ensuring that more members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies can come together to celebrate love, identity, and equality.
Low-income tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will remain on sale until the start of the festival or until sold out.
Mark Fletcher, CEO of Manchester Pride, commented,
“Accessibility and inclusivity are at the heart of everything we do. Partnering with Autotrader has allowed us to make Manchester Pride more affordable for more people than ever before. It means more voices, more joy, and more representation at the heart of Manchester’s celebrations.”
Christos Tsaprounis, people & culture director at Autotrader commented, “We’re proud to stand with Manchester Pride in making sure the event is as accessible as possible. Our team is passionate about supporting the LGBTQ+ community, and doubling the number of low-income tickets is one way we can help ensure more people can take part in this incredible celebration.”
Autotrader, the UK’s largest automotive marketplace, employs over 1,200 people across Manchester, London and Hemel Hempstead, with LGBTQ+ colleagues making up more than 10% of the workforce. In addition to Autotrader supporting with tickets, the LGBTQ+ network will once again march in the Manchester Pride Parade. They continue to partner with and support multiple LGBTQ+ charities across Greater Manchester and were awarded with ‘Role Model’ status in Manchester Pride’s All Equals Charter showcasing their commitment to diversity and inclusion both inside and outside the workplace.
Low-income tickets are reserved for those on limited incomes and are sold at half price. Proof of eligibility is required, and tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit https://www.manchesterpride.
