Manchester-favourite Salvi’s is set to bring another year of truly Italian Christmas to Manchester with a hand-picked seasonal offering and line-up of events, promising perfect presents for one and all.

From Friday 1st December, customers of the family-run delis and restaurants can find the perfect gift at the Salvi’s Corn Exchange, Deansgate Square and Northern Quarter sites, where owner Maurizio has fulfilled his annual mission of creating the ultimate festive experience with seasonal treats, from his family to yours.

Exclusive culinary experiences, hampers overflowing with Salvi’s freshly-imported produce, a tempting jolly gelato collaboration, and a merry selection of Italian food and drink are all on the back of Maurizio’s sleigh.

Passing down generational knowledge and family recipes is a long-standing tradition for the Ceccos. The Salvi’s new year will kick off with the ultimate dining experience, curated and hosted by Italian cooking superstar Gennaro Contaldo (Saturday Kitchen, Two Greedy Italians).

On Thursday 25th January 2024, guests will have the chance to enjoy ‘An Evening With Gennaro Contaldo’  with the legend himself at Salvi’s Deansgate Square, surrounded by his tried-and-tested delicacies, side splitting Italian humour and a buzzing atmosphere.

Do you have what it takes for Giuseppe’s bakes? After receiving rapturous applause and rave reviews for his first string of masterclasses, Great British Bake Off 2021 winner Giuseppe Dell’Anno returns to Salvi’s on Sunday 7th January 2024, for a fresh batch of baking classes, featuring top-notch techniques, mountains of orange zest, fizz on arrival and Salvi’s iconic sharing platter, filled with real Italian delicacies.

Adding to the stellar selection of experiences, Maurizio invites everyone around the Salvi’s Sunday table for a pasta-making masterclass with nonna Anna (every first Sunday of the month).

Maurizio’s childhood love of real Italian gelato inspired the creation of the Salvi’s x Grandpa Greene’s panettone gelato, with Salvi’s being the only venue to serve up the unique treat. The two local family-run businesses share mutual passion for authentic Italian ingredients, with the brand-new treat hitting the shelves in all three Salvi’s venues.

Panettone is one of the brightest stars in the Italian Christmas sky, so the Ceccos have created a true panettone and pandoro heaven right in the heart of Manchester. The Salvi’s delis are bursting at the seams with the holiday essential, including iconic brands like Bauli, Muzzi Tommaso, and an exclusive Dolce & Gabbana range, encased in the brand’s striking signature collectable tins.

Those who simply cannot decide can treat loved ones to Maurizio’s specially curated hampers. Available in store, the hampers can be filled with whatever your heart desires – from Salvi’s own pasta, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, tomatoes (grown in the fruitful soil of the Vesuvius!), and stunning Salvi’s Salerno ceramics, to delightful festivity must-haves like melon and pistachio liqueur, and fresh deli selection.

Salvi’s has also partnered with brewing heavyweight Birrificio Angelo Poretti for the limited edition Salvi’s x Poretti hampers, available in store and online, featuring a hearty selection of Salvi’s products and two bottles of the premier Italian brew.

In addition, Maurizio has issued Salvi’s gift cards of various values, truly embodying the gift of giving. The three Salvi’s venues will also treat customers to a spectacular jolly menu, with a three-course meal and exhilarating atmosphere for a truly Buon Natale (Merry Christmas).

The two delis and three restaurants will welcome Mancunians up until Christmas eve, with ‘deli master’ Ezio and Maurizio himself assisting one and all into bringing a piece of Salvi’s at their festive table.

Salvi’s owner, Maurizio, says: “People often come in and share about the many unforgettable experiences they had in Italy, the amazing food they had, and how much they wish they could give that experience to their loved ones. So I decided to bring Italy to them.

“It has always been my mission to bring a slice of my native home of Naples and my family traditions back to my chosen home, Manchester, so come along to one of our venues, say ‘Ciao!’, explore and create a present to remember. From my family to yours.”
