A design agency based in North Manchester has married up with the team at Nutters in Rochdale to give the restaurant’s wedding brochure a glittering makeover.

Paul Grogan, MD of Think Design Manchester, based on Turks Road in Radcliffe, first ‘met’ head chef Andrew Nutter via Twitter more than four years ago.

He originally offered to photograph the interior of the Edenfield Road restaurant for his portfolio after setting up his own company.

Paul went on to photograph the grand opening of Nutters’ sister restaurant, The Bird at Birtle, plus Nutters’ 24th birthday bash and the Royal Wedding dinner hosted in May this year.

This roster of photography saw Louise Lee, a member of the management team at Nutters, get in touch with Paul when new interior shots of the restaurants were needed for its latest wedding brochure.

The initial conversation took an interesting turn when Paul happened to ask who was in charge of the design.

“This was met with an admission they normally use a local printing company, followed by the question ‘why, can you help?’” explained Paul.

“The next thing I knew, I’d been invited in to meet with Louise and the General Manager, Damian, and we were commissioned to design, artwork, photograph and manage the project on their behalf.”

Paul’s shoot at Nutters included a full wedding setup to showcase the facilities, plus a reshoot of the recently renovated part of the restaurant.

And that’s not all – the wedding brochure project is at print and now Paul and his team at Think Design Manchester are looking forward to working with Nutters on the restaurant’s new website in the coming months.

Paul continued: “It just goes to show that if you don’t ask, you don’t get! All the photography I’ve done at Nutters in recent years has given me the opportunity to show off my main design business and the rest is history.

“Nutters is renowned across the North West for its luxury dining experience and the team there is proud to offer a bespoke service for weddings hosted there – every detail is designed around the couple’s exact wishes. We can’t wait to see the finished wedding brochure in the flesh and we’re very excited to start work on the website as a team.”
