A 24 year old man has died after being hit by a vehicle on the M61 near Bolton in the early hours of this morning
The incident happened around 2.25 between junctions 3 and 4 and the man died at the scene
The driver remained at the scene and no arrests have been made.
Officers are appealing for anyone with any information – and who may have witnessed the collision – to please get in touch.
This includes anyone with dashcam footage from around the time.
