Reform UK has won the by election in the Tottington by election this evening
Their candidate George Martin won with a 302 majority over second placed Conservatives with Labour third the Greens fourth and Together in Bury in fifth
The turnout was 31 per cent slightly down on two years ago
The by election followed the resignation of the Independent Together for Bury candidate Luis McBriar halfway through his four-year term
He becomes Reform’s third councillor in Bury
The new line-up on Bury Council is now: Labour 32 seats, Radcliffe First 7, Conservatives 5, Reform UK 3, Together for Bury 3, and Independent 1.
