Manchester’s Piccolino Restaurant in Clarence Street served up its last meals on Sunday.

After 13 successful years, It will be getting an extensive makeover, which will see the popular restaurant almost double in size to seat 200 guests.

The mammoth refurbishment will welcome a variety of exciting new additions and the restaurant will re-open in April, bigger and better, with a new look and even a new name.

The makeover will see the restaurant reopen with a new pizzeria, as well as meat, fish and shellfish counters and a cocktail bar and wine boutique.

Steven Walker founder of Individual Restaurants – the company behind Piccolino – is looking forward to the big reveal, he said: “Manchester is the home of Individual Restaurants and after 13 incredibly successful years, it seemed only right that Piccolino should get the chance to have a makeover on this scale.

“Our business is what it is today because of the people in it, general manager Ettore Cicchetti has led the restaurant since 2003 and I am sure our loyal followers will be as excited as we are to see Ettore unveil his new restaurant.”
