OK, Padbury. You need to get a grip and pull yourself together as you are being pathetically weak and letting the side down.

I decided the way to do this was by upping my game clothes wise so wore my bestest and most favourite summer dress. The last time I wore it was going to the opera at Longborough in the Cotswolds last summer where we had an accidental photograph taken that is just fabulous and has pride of place on our lounge wall. We both look relaxed, chilled and happy – plus my teeth look very white and straight which is even better. Happy days and happy memories.

It was a very long day today and there are many times that I feel very aggrieved with the people that encouraged me to take this career path. Work in an office, they said. It’s much easier than working anywhere else, they said. It’s 9-5 with an hour for lunch, they said. It’s not very stressful, they said. So after my long and stressful 8am to 8pm day, I thought, “easy, chilled and short? My arse!”

I’m thinking that we are missing the point as nobody else seems to be talking about the lockdown being until at least the until the end of the year. I’m sure it will all come out in the next few days or maybe everyone is just too depressed to speak.

My Parallel Universe:  Sipping wine in a fancy Lisbon restaurant – never mind, hey!

My List: A couple of chapters of Dear Mrs Bird – I’m loving this book and today’s quote of, “I’m a spinster not an invalid” made me laugh; plus quite a bit of TV – Modern family mini- binge; Secrets of the Supermarket (How shocking the portion quoted was for half the small carton); & Behind the Scenes with the Royals (I can’t believe Paul Burrell is still making money from the Royals after all this time).

My Lowlight: Seeing a link to one of my favourite dress sites, Hot squash, showing matching face masks at £10 a pop. Where are we actually going out to dresses so fancifully?? SERIOUSLY!?

My Highlight: The crystal glasses I ordered the other week arrived and they are beautiful and they match but they are the small ones not the big ones. I now have a mismatched set and it’s messing with my OCD.

My Anxiety Level:  Medium to high and on the verge of tears but definitely getting better.
