The governor of Ukraine’s Lviv region has said a Russian air strike on a military range killed 34 people and injured 157 in Russia’s airstrike on Yavoriv military training ground.

Governor Maksym Kozytsky said that firefighters have extinguished the fire, and were able to approach the premises.

According to Governor Maksym Kozytsky, overnight Russia launched at least 30 missiles on the Yavoriv millitary training centre.

Meanwhile Russian troops have shelled Mykolayiv, with 9 people reportedly killed.

According to the Mykolayiv regional police, the city witnessed heavy shelling and airstrikes overnight.

Ukraine’s President has said that to seize Kyiv, the Russians will have to destroy it.

“If there are hundreds of thousands of people, who are now being mobilized by Russia, and they come with hundreds or thousands of tanks, they will take Kyiv. We understand that,” said Zelensky.

Reports from Ukraine say that Zelensky has proposed meeting Putin in Jerusalem.

The President said that he asked Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to act as an intermediary.

1,300 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed by Russia,the first time President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned Ukraine’s estimated military casualties.

Meanwhile 500-600 Russian soldiers are captured by Ukraine. President  Zelensky said he can’t give an exact number of Russian prisoners of war due to the rapidly changing numbers.

Ukraine’s intelligence service accused Russia of killing seven people, including one child, after Russian forces fired at a convoy that was evacuating women and children from the village of Peremoha in the Kyiv region.

“After the attack, the occupiers forced the remnants of the column to turn back to Peremoha and are not letting them out of the village,” the intelligence service said in a statement, adding that the total number of wounded was unknown.
