Originally from Norfolk, Scott has 13 years’ experience in the catering industry working in the UK, the Channel Islands, Australia and Thailand. Scott has worked at luxury hotels in Norfolk including The Hoste Arms and Tichwell Manor before moving to the Channel Islands for four years where he worked at The White House Hotel, Herm Island.

Commenting on his appointment, Scott said: “I am excited to join the team at The Belsfield. It’s a beautiful hotel and we have a hardworking and passionate team in the kitchen. We’re absolutely committed to continuing to deliver the high-quality cuisine for which we’re renowned, as we strive to maintain our 2AA standard and push the restaurant forward to even greater things.”

Following a huge demand from guests, Scott recently developed new lunch, dinner and afternoon tea menus with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options to appeal to a range of diets. The dishes include Asparagus & ricotta tortellini, Baked cauliflower with dark chocolate, hazelnut crumble and truffle oil, and Coconut and fruit tea jelly panna cotta for dessert. As well as a selection of savoury and sweet afternoon tea dishes which cater for every dietary requirement.

The hotel’s 2AA Rosette Belsfield Restaurant is open from 6.30pm until 9.30pm for dinner and The Brasserie is open for lunch and dinner from 12pm until 9pm. To book visit https://www.lauraashleyhotels.com/hotels/the-belsfield/food-drink
