Jet2.com has announced that it will commence flights and holidays from Manchester Airport to Lisbon, with services to the new destination operating from September.
On the back of continued demand from British holidaymakers who are looking to plan and book a much-needed holiday this year, customers can enjoy award-winning flights and holidays, as well as city breaks to the stunning capital city of Portugal with Jet2CityBreaks.
The leisure airline and package holiday specialist will commence its programme of flights, holidays and city breaks to Lisbon with two-weekly flights (Monday and Friday) on sale from Manchester Airport from 3rd September to 29th October. This means that customers can enjoy a late-Summer break in the sun and experience fewer crowds as they explore the monuments and history of the city.
For Winter 21/22, the company will operate Thursday and Sunday services from 4th November to 24th March 2022, giving customers great choice and flexibility over how long they holiday for, whether it’s a long weekend, a week or longer.
Holidaymakers also have the chance to book ahead, with Lisbon now on sale throughout Summer 22 and into Autumn. Twice-weekly services (Thursday and Sunday) will be available from Manchester Airport from 27th March – 13th November 2022.
Customers can look to explore Lisbon’s cobbled alleyways, ancient ruins and white domed cathedrals, as well as the many attractions the city offers. The holiday resorts of Cascais, Estoril and Sintra are all easily accessible from Lisbon for a relaxing break by the coast, or just a day trip away from the city.
Cascais is a traditional and charming Portuguese fishing town with a trio of golden bays, while the town of Estoril on the Portuguese Riviera is famous for its glitzy casino and palm-fringed landscaped gardens. Those looking for extravagant palaces, rippling mountains and opulent mansions can head to the small city of Sintra, which has UNESCO World Heritage status and is home to beautiful parks, castles, and buildings like Pena Palace, Castelo do Mouros and the Quinta da Regaleira.
Holidaymakers can enjoy a visit to the sunniest capital in Europe during the cooler months, as well as during Christmas and the New Year.
