Jet2 has responded to the extra demand from local holidaymakers by announcing a huge expansion to its Summer 20 programme from Manchester Airport, including a brand new destination, more flights and holidays, and four additional aircraft.

The UK’s third largest airline and second largest tour operator has added weekly flights to a wide range of destinations in the Canaries, Balearics, Spain, Turkey, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Greece, and has also announced two weekly flights to Skiathos.

Skiathos is the company’s fourth brand new destination for Summer 20 from Manchester Airport, in addition to Preveza (Greece), Zadar (Croatia) and Tivat (Montenegro).

The addition of over 450,000 seats represents a capacity increase of 16%, and the company is adding FOUR aircraft into its fleet for the summer to support this expansion. As a result, Jet2 will operate a fleet of over 20 based aircraft from Manchester Airport in Summer 2020.

The extra capacity and key highlights announced from Manchester Airport today includes:

Skiathos – launch of twice weekly services from early May until late September giving holidaymakers access to this unspoilt island which features stunning beaches and traditional Greek resorts such as Achladies, Kolios, Koukounaries, Skiathos Town, Troulos and Agia Paraskevi.

Canary Islands – over 70,000 additional seats announced meaning up to 34 weekly departures to Tenerife (now up to 15 weekly departures with up to three services per day), Gran Canaria (now five weekly services), Fuerteventura (now five weekly services) and Lanzarote (now nine weekly services). This means unrivalled choice and flexibility with the UK’s leading operator to the Canaries with over 450,000 seats on sale.

Turkey – over 140,000 additional seats announced, meaning over 400,000 seats on sale in Summer 20. This means a choice of daily services to Dalaman (now up to 12 services every week) and Antalya (now up to 10 services every week), as well as great choice to Bodrum (now five weekly services) and Izmir (now three weekly services).

Balearic Islands – nearly half a million seats on sale with UK’s leading operator to the Balearics. Almost 40,000 additional seats added today across Majorca (now up to 24 weekly services), Menorca (now six weekly services) and Ibiza (now 14 weekly services) – again providing unrivalled choice and flexibility.

Greece – over 40 weekly services to ten destinations in Greece, meaning more choice than ever. In addition to brand new Skiathos (two weekly services) and Preveza (now three weekly services), there are multiple weekly services to: Corfu (now five weekly services), Crete (Heraklion) (now seven weekly services), Crete (Chania) (two weekly services), Kefalonia (now four weekly services), Kos (now four weekly services), Rhodes (now daily services), Thessaloniki (three weekly services) and Zante (now five weekly services) representing over 600,000 seats on sale.

Cyprus – over 150,000 seats on sale with almost 20,000 seats added today. More flying to Paphos (now eight weekly services) and Larnaca (now daily services).

Spain – great choice to mainland Spain with over 500,000 seats on sale. This includes Alicante (daily services), Malaga (daily services), Barcelona (six weekly services), Reus (Costa Dorada) (now six weekly services), Girona (Costa Brava) (four weekly services), Costa de Almeria (three weekly services), and Murcia (three weekly services),

Bourgas (Bulgaria) – increased number of services to this new for Summer 19 destination, meaning five weekly flights.

The programme gives local holidaymakers even more choice and flexibility when choosing flights and holidays to their favourite sun and city destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands next summer. With daily, double-daily and ever three flights daily to the most popular sun and city destinations, this scorching summer programme represents over THREE MILLION seats on sale to more than 50 destinations in Summer 20. Other key highlights for Summer 20 from Manchester Airport with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays include:

BRAND NEW Montenegro – two weekly services to Tivat, a brand new destination for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
Croatia – two weekly services to brand new Zadar as well as four weekly services to Dubrovnik, and three weekly services to Pula and Split.
Italy – seven weekly services to Rome, five weekly services to Venice and Pisa, three weekly services to Naples, two weekly services to Verona.
Portugal – daily services to Faro as well as twice weekly services to Madeira.
