A major international conference for accountants and business advisers from 11
countries is taking place in Manchester.

Greater Manchester firm HURST is hosting the three-day event, which runs until
Thursday, June 9.

The 2022 Business Leadership Forum for the EMEA region has been organised by
PrimeGlobal, a worldwide association of independent accounting and business
advisory firms, of which HURST is a member.

The gathering has attracted 150 delegates from 34 member firms in countries
including Ireland, France, Jersey, the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as from
across the UK.

It is taking place at HOME and at the INNSIDE Manchester hotel in the city centre.
Among the key topics being covered are staff retention and talent development,
future trends in the industry, the accountancy practice of the future, socially
responsible business strategies, the economic outlook, and collaborative working
across the PrimeGlobal network.

Speakers include Thierry Delvaux, PrimeGlobal’s executive director for the EMEA
region, PrimeGlobal chief executive Stephen Heathcote and Alex Brandreth, chief
investment officer at Manchester-based Luna Investment Management.

Stephen said: ‘I’m delighted that our member firms from across Europe are meeting
in person in Manchester this week.

“Manchester is so well-connected and has some of the best conference, dining,
entertainment and hotel facilities in the world.

“Businesses look to our firms to be trusted advisers providing the most relevant and
up-to-date support.

“As the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, Manchester is the perfect location to
come together to share ideas and innovate so we remain future ready.
“It really is the top location to hold a conference and we are delighted to have the
opportunity to enjoy the best of Manchester.”

Simon Brownbill, partner and director of practice development at HURST, said:
“PrimeGlobal is integral to our proposition as we cement ourselves as the go-to
independent firm for internationally trading businesses.

“It’s a pleasure to host so many friends and colleagues at the largest post-Covid
PrimeGlobal event so far.”
